David Greenhill and his wife Katherine Osborne came to Virginia from Nottingham, England in 1587. Samuel and Mary Greenhill settled in Hill County, Texas in 1893.
Kenneth and Fannie Jane Greenhill moved to the 100 acre farm that was purchased for the sum of $6,000 by their daughter Nettie and her husband Neil Kennedy in 1942.
Brian and Lynnette Payne are the fourth generation to live on the Greenhill Homestead. The original four room house that had an addition in the 1950"s is where they live. The land has been used for a wide variety of crops and livestock throughout the years. We look forward to sharing it with you and your families. At Greenhill Homestead there is something for everyone.
Our family grew up on the land at Greenhill Homestead and are proud to bring you opportunities to interact with various animals in our petting zoo. Take a leisurely tour on the hay ride while enjoying a snack from the concession stand. If the kids need to burn some energy take them over to the kids playground, duck races, and more. If you are looking for some old fashion fun, master the maze made from pallets or the sling shots. Thank you for supporting our traditions.
